2024 Jeep Cherokee Wheel Setup
This 2024 Jeep Cherokee runs a square set of 24×10 Niche Prodigy 5 wheels finished in gloss black double dark tint while retaining the factory suspension and stock ride height. The oversized 24 inch wheel completely changes the proportions of the KL Cherokee, filling substantially more of the wheel opening and giving the compact SUV a much more aggressive street-focused appearance.
The Prodigy 5 finish appears nearly black in lower light while allowing the machined spoke details to become more visible in direct sunlight. On a vehicle with relatively compact proportions, the large wheel face becomes the dominant part of the build without requiring suspension modification.
Factory vs New Specs
Using the late-model Cherokee Limited configuration as a reference, the factory setup uses approximately 18×7 wheels with a +40mm offset and 225/55R18 tires measuring around 27.7 inches tall.
Factory Wheel: Approximately 18×7 with a +40mm offset.
Factory Tire: 225/55R18, measuring approximately 27.7 inches tall.
Bolt Pattern: 5×110.
Center Bore: 65.1mm.
Lug Hardware: M12×1.25.
New Wheel: 24×10 Niche Prodigy 5 at all four corners.
Wheel Diameter: The new setup adds 6 inches of wheel diameter compared with the 18 inch factory reference wheel.
Wheel Width: Width increases from approximately 7 inches to 10 inches, adding 3 inches of total wheel width at each corner.
Offset and Wheel Position
The exact offset used on this particular build has not been confirmed, so the final wheel position should not be treated as verified until the wheel specification is documented.
Niche offers 24×10 applications in offset ranges that can place the wheel significantly farther outward than the factory Cherokee wheel, especially when combined with the additional 3 inches of wheel width.
Using a +35mm offset only as a reference example, the outer edge of a 24×10 wheel would sit approximately 43mm, or about 1.7 inches, farther outward per side than an 18×7 +40 factory wheel.
That amount of change creates a much fuller fender appearance and can place the tire shoulder near or slightly beyond the factory body line depending on the actual tire width and offset.
Tire Sizing and Clearance
The exact tire size installed on this build has not been confirmed, so tire diameter, ground clearance and speedometer changes should not be published as verified specifications yet.
A 265/30R24 is one possible sizing used with 24×10 wheels on similar applications and measures approximately 30.3 inches tall, but this should be treated as a reference only until the actual tire size on this Cherokee is documented.
If a tire approximately 30.3 inches tall is being used, it would be roughly 2.6 inches larger in diameter than a 225/55R18 factory tire. That would increase static ground clearance by approximately 1.3 inches from tire radius alone.
Fitment Notes
Suspension: This Cherokee remains at factory ride height with no lift or lowering suspension used as part of the build.
Front Clearance: With a 24×10 wheel, the most important areas to inspect are the inner front fender liner, sway bar area and suspension clearance through full steering lock.
Rear Clearance: Clearance ahead of the rear tire and around the inner liner should also be verified with the vehicle loaded and the suspension compressed.
Rubbing: Whether rubbing occurs depends heavily on the actual tire size and wheel offset. Those values should be confirmed before describing the setup as rub-free.
Poke: The additional 3 inches of wheel width means the wheel will sit much farther outward than the narrow factory setup even with a relatively conservative positive offset.
Load Rating: Wheel and tire load capacity should be verified against the Cherokee’s actual GVWR before installation, especially when using low-profile tires on a heavy crossover application.
Ride and Drivability
A 24 inch wheel dramatically reduces available tire sidewall compared with the factory 18 inch package when overall tire diameter is kept within a reasonable range. The result is a more immediate steering response but also a firmer ride over broken pavement and sharper impacts.
The larger and wider wheel package can also increase steering effort and road feedback compared with the original configuration. Maintaining the proper tire load rating and overall diameter is especially important for preserving safe everyday drivability.
If the final tire diameter is substantially larger than stock, speedometer accuracy and effective gearing should also be considered as part of the installation.
