2023 Chevrolet Suburban Wheel and Tire Setup
This 2023 Chevrolet Suburban runs a square set of 24×10 Niche Serene wheels finished in gloss black and wrapped in 305/35R24 tires at all four corners. The suspension remains at factory ride height, allowing the larger wheel and wider tire package to transform the stance without requiring a lift or lowering kit.
The 24 inch diameter works naturally with the long body and large wheel openings of the Suburban, while the 10 inch width gives the Serene a deeper and more substantial appearance than the narrower factory wheel. The gloss black finish also works especially well with black exterior trim and dark appearance packages.
Factory vs New Specs
A common factory configuration on the 2023 Chevrolet Suburban LT uses 20×9 wheels with 275/60R20 tires. The factory tire measures approximately 33 inches tall.
Factory Wheel: Approximately 20×9 with a +28mm offset.
Factory Tire: 275/60R20, measuring approximately 33.0 inches tall.
New Wheel: 24×10 Niche Serene at all four corners.
New Wheel Offset: +30mm.
New Tire: 305/35R24, measuring approximately 32.4 inches tall.
Wheel Diameter: Increases by 4 inches, from 20 inches to 24 inches.
Wheel Width: Increases from approximately 9 inches to 10 inches.
Tire Width: Nominal section width increases from 275mm to 305mm.
Bolt Pattern: 6×139.7.
Factory Hub Bore: 78.1mm.
Lug Hardware: M14×1.5.
Tire Diameter and Ground Clearance
The factory 275/60R20 measures approximately 33.0 inches in overall diameter, while the 305/35R24 measures approximately 32.4 inches.
That makes the new tire roughly 0.6 inch smaller overall, or about 1.8 percent shorter than the factory tire. Static ground clearance decreases by approximately 0.3 inch from the change in tire radius.
The rolling diameter remains reasonably close to factory, so the change in gearing and vehicle behavior is relatively small. At an indicated 60 mph, actual road speed would be approximately 59 mph with the smaller 305/35R24 tire.
Although the overall tire is slightly shorter, the additional 4 inches of wheel diameter and much shorter sidewall create the visual effect of a significantly larger wheel package.
Offset and Wheel Position
The 24×10 Niche Serene used for this application has a +30mm offset. Compared with a factory-style 20×9 +28 wheel, the new wheel is one inch wider while using an offset only 2mm more positive.
When the additional wheel width and offset are considered together, the outer wheel edge moves approximately 11mm, or about 0.4 inch, farther toward the fender per side.
The inner edge moves approximately 15mm closer to the suspension. This gives the Suburban a noticeably fuller wheel position without relying on an aggressive low or negative offset.
Fitment and Stance
The 24×10 +30 wheel paired with a 305/35R24 tire is a well-proportioned combination for the current-generation Suburban. The 305mm tire provides enough width to properly support the 10 inch wheel while keeping the overall tire diameter relatively close to the factory setup.
The wider tire and additional wheel width bring the package closer to the fender line than the factory 20 inch setup. The result is a fuller, more planted stance while retaining the original stock suspension height.
On a vehicle as large as the Suburban, a 24 inch wheel does not look disproportionately oversized. Instead, it fills the body visually while maintaining the long, substantial proportions of the full-size SUV.
Fitment Notes
Suspension: This build remains at factory ride height with no lift or lowering suspension required.
Tire Size: 305/35R24 is a commonly used tire size with 24×10 wheels on current-generation GM full-size SUVs and provides a strong balance between wheel protection, width and overall tire diameter.
Rubbing: Comparable current-generation GM SUV setups using 24×10 +30 wheels and 305/35R24 tires have been documented at stock height without rubbing or trimming. Exact clearance should still be checked at full steering lock and through suspension compression during installation.
Poke: The +30mm Serene moves the wheel moderately farther outward than the factory 20×9 wheel without creating the aggressive poke associated with much lower offsets.
Inner Clearance: The wider 10 inch wheel also extends farther toward the suspension, so brake, control arm and inner liner clearance should always be checked during installation.
Hub Fitment: The Niche Serene uses a 100.3mm center bore, which is larger than the Suburban hub. The correct hub-centric rings should be used to properly center the wheel.
Wheel Load Rating: The 24×10 Niche Serene has a published 2,500 pound load rating per wheel. Tire load capacity should also be verified against the vehicle’s axle and GVWR requirements before installation.
Niche Serene Wheels
The Niche Serene is a one-piece cast aluminum wheel with a thin multi-spoke design and mild concavity. In the 24×10 size, the larger diameter and additional width create more visual depth while still maintaining a clean luxury-oriented appearance.
The gloss black finish gives the Suburban a modern monochromatic look and works especially well with black exterior trim, tinted glass and dark appearance packages.
Ride and Drivability
Moving from a 20 inch wheel to a 24 inch wheel significantly reduces tire sidewall. The 305/35R24 therefore provides a firmer ride and transmits more sharp road impacts than the taller factory 275/60R20 tire.
The wider 305mm tire provides a broader footprint, while the square setup allows the same wheel and tire size to be used at all four corners.
Because the overall tire diameter remains within approximately 2 percent of the factory setup, changes to gearing, ride height and speedometer accuracy remain relatively modest.
