Factory vs New Specs
A 2014 STI rolls off the line on 18×8.5 wheels with a 53mm offset, mounted to 245/40/18 Dunlop SP Sport rubber. The new setup keeps the 18 inch diameter but adds a full inch of wheel width and drops the offset down to 35mm. That offset shift pushes each wheel close to three quarters of an inch outward per side, and the wider barrel adds another half inch outward. Total outward movement comes in around 1.25 inches per side, putting the wheels flush against the fender lip exactly where the STI looks best. Tire diameter stays close to factory, so speedometer and AWD system stay happy. The lowered suspension closes up the wheel gap and finishes the stance perfectly while sharpening turn-in response.
