This 1978 Chevrolet C10 is sitting exactly the way the squarebody community has been chasing for decades. Factory vs New Specs
A 1978 C10 left the factory wearing skinny 15×6 or 15×7 steel wheels with roughly zero offset and a tire diameter somewhere around 29 inches. The new setup jumps the diameter up to 22 inches with a 9 inch wide front and a 12 inch wide rear, which is a massive width increase over factory across the board. The front offset comes in at a positive 38mm, which combined with the wider 9 inch barrel works out to roughly flush against the front fender depending on the drop. The rear is where this build gets serious. At 22×12 with a -63mm offset, the rear wheels sit roughly 4 inches further outward per side compared to stock, giving the truck that deep barrel poke and old-school big and little stance. The lowered suspension closes up the fender gap and lets the wheels fill out the wells properly, transforming the squarebody from utilitarian work truck into rolling sculpture.
