The BBK 1986-1993 Mustang 5.0 High Flow X-Pipe with Catalytic Converters – 2-1/2 is an X-pipe exhaust mid-pipe from BBK built for the application shown in the product title. BBK X-pipes create a sharper, smoother performance exhaust note, especially on Mustang and muscle-car applications. An X-pipe helps balance exhaust pulses and usually gives a smoother, sharper high-RPM tone on dual-exhaust applications. Product-specific details: BBK High Flow performance X pipes are designed to maximize the horsepower and torque of your 1986-1993 Ford Mustang 5.0 V8. Every BBK Performance X pipe is designed as a direct replacement for the factory full mid pipe and features larger diameter 16 gauge 2-1/2 in. CNC mandrel bent aluminized steel tubing with a unique BBK center X section for improved exhaust extraction, along with high flow catalytic converters to help increase exhaust flow and maximize performance to the rear wheels. These BBK full catted X pipes will install directly to the factory exhaust shorty headers or any aftermarket shorty exhaust and feature factory O2 sensor placement for simple direct installation.
