The Audi e-tron and e-tron S configurations listed above use the same tire size at all four positions. This normally allows front to rear rotation, helping manage the treadwear created by vehicle weight and electric motor torque.

Rotation options can still be limited by directional tread patterns or other tire specific requirements. The tire sidewall and manufacturer instructions should be checked before rotation.

Standard e-tron Versus e-tron S

The standard e-tron and performance focused e-tron S can use different tire widths on the same wheel diameter. For example, the standard e-tron may use 265/40R22 tires, while the e-tron S may use wider 285/35R22 tires.

The two sizes should not be treated as interchangeable without confirming the wheel width, vehicle configuration and tire placard.

Choosing Between Audi e-tron Wheel Sizes

The 20 inch setup provides the most sidewall and is generally the best factory option for ride comfort, pothole protection and everyday efficiency.

The 21 inch configuration offers a balance between comfort, appearance and steering response.

The 22 inch setup provides the most aggressive factory appearance and more immediate steering response. Its lower profile sidewall also offers less protection from potholes, curbs and damaged pavement, making correct inflation pressure especially important.
